KCC is bringing back the Fall Picnic with ACC’s Blessing of the Animals, the Korematsu Jazz Band, the local band “The Giant Space Coaster” and Sterling Johnson the Bubblesmith.  Sunday, October 22nd, 2023 from noon to 3:00 at the Community Center!

A Kensington Tradition!

It has been a Kensington tradition for over 60 years to hold a parade and picnic at the Community Center in October. This tradition has evolved over time and in recent years the KCC has sponsored a BBQ featuring local music groups including the Korematsu Middle School Jazz Band and local parent run rock groups. The Arlington Community Church’s Blessing of the Animals starts off the proceedings and the Friends of Kensington Library have traditionally held their Fall Book Sale at the same time. All of which helps to bring together neighbors with differing interests but a united community spirit.

KCC Movie Night

Movies Outside at the Kensington Park

Movie Night Saturday, September 21st, 2024


The start of each new school year is also the time for our family movie night on the big lawn in the park. Since 2012 the KCC has been sponsoring a movie night in partnership with local businesses. Hotdogs, drinks, movie candy, and popcorn are gobbled up while families recline on blankets in the field and watch a movie as the sun sets on a (mostly) warm September night.
