COVID-19 Safety Protocol: KCC Camp will be following the current State and County COVID safety measures during this summer’s camp program. This may include, but is not limited to, small groups of 12-14 campers per pod, mostly outdoor activities, and any mask mandate that is in effect during that week. We will continue with our elevated cleaning and sanitizing of bathrooms and high touch areas as well as practicing repetitive hand washing and social distancing when possible. We also ask that parents do daily health checks and assess campers for any illness or symptoms of Covid-19. All KCC staff is required to be vaccinated.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
All KCC programs may be subject to cancellation or modification as state, county, and other guidelines for youth programs evolve or change in 2022. If KCC cancels a program due to state, county, or school health orders or mandate, you will receive a 90% refund to the original payment method and a 10% credit for a future KCC class.
If you wish to cancel your registration, an email requesting cancellation must be received by DayCamp@KensingtonCommunityCounil.org two weeks prior to the start of camp and a 50% cancellation fee will be retained. If you cancel less than 2 weeks before the start of your camp week, 100% of the registration fee will be forfeited. If a student tests positive for COVID-19 before camp begins and cannot attend camp a 100% refund will be credited to your account for future camp dates not to exceed 8.15.23.

KCC Summer Camp is a traditional day camp. It is all about having a good time, safely supervised by trained camp counselors. This camp offers a fun, well-rounded summer camp experience where our campers get to do a little bit of everything from group tennis lessons, daily arts and crafts projects, capture the flag and other camp games and of course the Wednesday field trips to locations in our area. Each day offers a new opportunity to make new friends, play, explore, learn, and laugh.
Cancellations and Refunds
All cancellation requests must be made in writing (email kccrec@yahoo.com). Please include your name and your camper’s name on the cancellation request; include your phone number.
For cancellations, an administrative fee of $30.00 will be charged, per camper, per week. All deposits will be forfeited for cancellations made less than 10 business days prior to the start of the session. If your child is sick or injured, a doctor’s note is required prior to processing a refund.
FIELD TRIP DAYS: Every Wednesday the yellow Michael’s Transportation bus pulls into the community center parking lot, and the bus driver sounds the horn. Each counselor is in-charge of shepherding a small group of campers during the field trip. Each week, campers take off to explore different sites in our area. We head off to The Jungle in Concord, Oakland Zoo, explore and walk the Paths in Kensington, walk the Golden Gate Bridge, swim at Lake Anza, and more. Campers return to Kensington no later than 4:00 pm. Careful when scheduling piano lessons, swim lessons, doctor’s appointments as campers cannot be picked up at the field trip site.
KCC Summer Day Camp is where kids come to be active, play outdoors, learn new skills, explore the Bay Area and meet new friends. Our camp offers creative, exciting activities and group games in a safe and supportive environment along with traditional camp arts and crafts, group tennis lessons, and field trips.
